We've got some new arrivals, right~? If my info is right, that meeeeaaaans... you're all probably wondering a bunch of things! Well, never fear, because your ace reporter Maya Amano is here! The who's who, the what's what, and even anything else you can think of. As long as we've gotten it covered by someone I've probably got some info on it. After all, what good is being a journalist if you don't share?

... Not immediately. Jun was being controlled by an entity for a very long time. The "Crawling Chaos"... it changed his memories, and even caused him to believe that 'it' was his father, by taking his form. I think... at one point, he even thought I was his mother... because they had a bad relationship.

[ Poor Jun. She felt so bad for him. ]

Eventually, he gave up his Persona, and began desiring revenge because of the darkness that had taken over him. So he became the "Joker", twisted into an inhuman monster by the rumors coming true in our city...

[ ... She looks down. ] I met up with them all again at Seven Sisters High because I was doing an article on that rumor, and we... got swept up into what they were doing. Jun wanted revenge for a death that hadn't even happened... my death.

[messianic]

[He nods to show his understanding, expression still solemn.]

So you were brought back into things.

[...Somehow he doesn't believe in coincidences. He's more willing to believe that someone else orchestrated it, to be perfectly frank; not that he says so, of course.]

... Yeah. To be perfectly honest, I'm certain Nyarlathotep is the one behind everything. He... didn't succeed with Jun. We saved him from himself, you know? It's just... my hope that they can go on without me.

[ A small smile. ]

I've caused them so much trouble... and I guess I got a bit carried away, huh? I wanted to hear about you, but here I am talking about me... sorry about that.

I don't think that you have anything to regret for them as well. Things...were tragic, and difficult. But it wasn't anyone's fault in particular save Nyarlathotep, I believe. I'm sure they will realize that as well.

Don't get me wrong. I don't have any regrets! I'm happy to be alive now, but... I just don't want them to hurt anymore. They're good kids like you. Though, knowing my death sort of led to the end of the world is troubling... to be honest with you, that's what that... thing was after, I think. He drew so much amusement out of it...

... But I've noticed... we have to be from the same world, right? To have Personas... what year is it where you're from? And what city are you from? ... If it's true you're after me, then that means he lost, and he lost bad.

I'm glad... we fought a lot of ridiculous things to get that far. Did I mention that rumors to reality thing? Well, we ended up caught in a real-life Nazi and alien conspiracy involving crystal skulls and space ships and ancient Mayans... heck, they brought Hitler himself back, just with all kinds of weird technology... that was a hell of a battle!

[ So happily, she kind of flops a little back into her seat. ] It's... good to know things didn't go for naught.

But yeah, I told you, after that? NOTHING would surprise me anymore.

As I said before, I first discovered my Persona when a large shadow attacked the dorm. Yukari-chan was in danger as well, so...

[He picked up what looked like a gun, put it to his temple and pulled the trigger. ...Yep.]

Though now that I look back, it isn't a surprise there were complications.

See, thing is... we taught a bunch of kids the Persona incantation to protect themselves... so I was wondering, you know?

I suppose things are done somewhat differently now.

... To be honest, I'm still confused by that. Up until hearing it from you, I've always known that every single Persona user I'd ever met or felt resonate nearby... had played the Persona-sama game, and was granted one by Philemon.

[ Playing with her earlobe a bit here. ]

So your Persona... it's obviously different from mine somehow... but how? There's some sort of difference, though, and it's obviously a big one.

[He hesitates a slight moment, before well. Deciding that it's time to come clean at least on this.]

[He nods, and...well, ever since the ghost pirates, he has taken to carrying his Evoker on him, just in case. So he pulls it out from where it is hidden underneath his uniform's coat, holding it loosely in his hands.

A glance to Maya.]

I...warn you now that it looks very dubious, but I promise that I won't be harmed.

[He gives her an unreadable look at that.]

[And then? Then he brings the Evoker to the side of his head and, without even needing to pause for a breath, he pulls the trigger.

It's Thanatos that appears, perhaps unsurprisingly, considering how much of their conversation dwelt on the topic of Death itself.

And then his Persona fades away and Minato lays the Evoker on the table so that Maya can look at it if she wants, nodding. Self explanatory, right? :|;;]

... Before, you said that you couldn't tell I had a Persona. That it was more someone else's territory...? But that doesn't make any sense. Every Persona user should be able to feel and read the resonation of another Persona user.

[ Another pause. She... needs to actually word this better. ]

And you can only use yours here and during the Dark Hour thing you told me about? Well... do you think you could explain the things you do for your Personas in particular? I'm wondering about the differences. Like... do you go to the Velvet Room?
