We've got some new arrivals, right~? If my info is right, that meeeeaaaans... you're all probably wondering a bunch of things! Well, never fear, because your ace reporter Maya Amano is here! The who's who, the what's what, and even anything else you can think of. As long as we've gotten it covered by someone I've probably got some info on it. After all, what good is being a journalist if you don't share?

See, thing is... we taught a bunch of kids the Persona incantation to protect themselves... so I was wondering, you know?

I suppose things are done somewhat differently now.

... To be honest, I'm still confused by that. Up until hearing it from you, I've always known that every single Persona user I'd ever met or felt resonate nearby... had played the Persona-sama game, and was granted one by Philemon.

So your Persona... it's obviously different from mine somehow... but how? There's some sort of difference, though, and it's obviously a big one.

[He nods, and...well, ever since the ghost pirates, he has taken to carrying his Evoker on him, just in case. So he pulls it out from where it is hidden underneath his uniform's coat, holding it loosely in his hands.

[He gives her an unreadable look at that.]

[And then? Then he brings the Evoker to the side of his head and, without even needing to pause for a breath, he pulls the trigger.

It's Thanatos that appears, perhaps unsurprisingly, considering how much of their conversation dwelt on the topic of Death itself.

And then his Persona fades away and Minato lays the Evoker on the table so that Maya can look at it if she wants, nodding. Self explanatory, right? :|;;]

... Before, you said that you couldn't tell I had a Persona. That it was more someone else's territory...? But that doesn't make any sense. Every Persona user should be able to feel and read the resonation of another Persona user.

And you can only use yours here and during the Dark Hour thing you told me about? Well... do you think you could explain the things you do for your Personas in particular? I'm wondering about the differences. Like... do you go to the Velvet Room?

It seems like there are a number of differences. For example...Well, you can use multiple Personas, can't you? You seem at home with the idea of multiple Personas.

Back home, I'm the only one who can use more than one Persona, and I'm also the only one able to see the Velvet Room.

Yeah, all of us can--out of my group, I mean, and the group before us. Philemon put it this way: everyone has many masks, right? It's just like... picking out new ones to put on. Everyone I know can do it, though we have our initial ones, and the ones that... seem to be most like 'us', haha. Like I had Maia, but the Velvet Room helps provide us with new ones.

[ A thoughtful pause. ]

Artemis is me, but the others are also me, I guess. Ahh, this is a little confusing... why is it so different?

The first time I mentioned the door to the Velvet Room, I was asked "what door?".

The Roulette Wheel shadow was something else, though, I have to say. Not to mention the Dark Hour itself.

Anyway... the Dark Hour and Shadows... you keep mentioning Shadows, and that sounds kind of familiar to me. Are they like... people? Or more like the demons we've fought?

Oh. Shadows are the creatures we fight--I suppose they are a little like demons.

[He pauses, thinking of Naoki, and amends--]

Well, you can negotiate with demons... but we were never really able to do that with the Shadows that appeared of Lisa-chan, Eikichi-kun, and Tatsuya-kun... they were like copies of them. In fact, they even had reverse versions of our Personas.

[ It... was rather odd, really. ]

It's a little concerning, though... I thought we'd stopped all of that?
